750TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE SERVICE
28th Sept 2008
Attended by the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd and Right Hon Dr Rowan Williams
Presided by the Archbishop of Canterbury, who will consecrate the new font and re-dedicate the Cathedral. This special service is open to all but just 300 unreserved seats remain available. Doors will be open from 2pm and we recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment. To ensure you are able to hear the Archbishop of Canterbury and join in the Cathedral’s 750th Anniversary Celebrations you may wish to consider attending the 10.30am morning Eucharist.
At this service the Archbishop will dedicate the Cathedral's new font by water sculptor William Pye, and baptise two infants.
