Ian Horner Thank you for a lovely carol service, the Thursday before Christmas. It was great to hear the choir, and to see so many people there. Now back in the states I can still hear the music in my mind. Thank you again, God bless you all, Ian & Carol Horner.
Paula Howard A wonderful experience! My young family, husband and I visited Salisbury and the Cathedral on Dec. 20th, 2005. Coming from South Africa, this has been a rare treat for us as there are no buildings even remotely close to this. Congratulations on the preservations taking place which will enable many more generations this enjoyment!

In October of this year my husband, our 16 year old son and myself visited England and had the opportunity to visit Salibury and the Cathedral. It was the 20nd of October and when we entered the Cathedral were greeted by a very friendly guide who proceeded to lead us on a delightful tour. She informed us that we were in for a treat that day as the choir from Sherbourne school was practicing. As my husband is a former church organist and my son also has a musical background, we were considering this news a pleasant surprise. The organ began to play and the choir started to sing; we were absolutely awestruck by the sound, the like of which we had never heard before. It became one very special highlight of an amazing visit. It has become our dream to return one day for a full service. Many thanks to the kind people who were there to greet us that day.

Sara Beaudry (Canadian) Earlier this spring, I took my 14 year old son on a trip to England. As part of our trip we visited Salisbury Catherdral along our journeys in England. It was awe inspring to have visited your magnificent Catherdral. I was simply taken away by its beauty and history. I look forward to telling all my family and friends of this perfect Cathedral located in England. I felt the angels that day as I walked through the rooms.
Troy Anderson I visited this magnificent cathedral with my wife in 1996. I wept openly when I walked in and have since never quit lavishing praise upon it. I have never been impressed with another cathedral since. Utterly beautiful!
Jorge Galan This is a wonderful website. I just finished reading Rutherford' "Sarum" and viewing the pictures gave me a very eery feeling of having been there before. Unfortunately, the opposite is true. I hope to correct that fact soon and walk through the Close myself. Cheers and Happy Christmas to all from Columbia, South Carolina, USA.
Nigel Hill I have just come home from the Advent "Darkness into Light" service. It was magnificently uplifting and inspiring.
Jon Smallwood Teaching "The Spire" by William Golding so came to see how much from the book is there. Amazing - I found most of the points in the book including the site of Pangall's kingdom. Did the Tower Tour-brilliant. Shame could not go up Roger Mason's ladders into the spire itself. A brilliant 3 hours including 30 mins with a guide on the ground floor then the 1.75 hour Tower Tour. A brilliant time. The only disappointment was that neither guide had read "The Spire". If anyone reading this wants to talk about the book (one of my favourites) and the parts I found in my tour, please email me. For anyone studying the book, I have an excellent study guide to accompany the text.
