Education at Salisbury Cathedral
The Cathedral's Education Centre based at Wren Hall provides facilities and teaching resources for visiting groups to learn about the life, history and contemporary mission of the Cathedral. Housed in the former Chorister's Schoolroom in the Cathedral Close it provides a rare and unique setting for children, young people and adult groups. Wren Hall is a few minutes walk from the Cathedral, Salisbury Museum and the beautiful medieval city of Salisbury.
The Centre is run by qualified and experienced staff who can call on the expertise of a team of volunteers with specialist skills in many areas.
Activities available to schools include day visits around a specific theme, large-scale workshops, Victorian drama days, pilgrim journeys and other special events contributing towards pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Wren Hall is also available to schools and other groups planning their own activities in an alternative and attractive setting, with many interesting resources close at hand.
